JuJutsu Kaisen: Execution is not entirely an brand-new movie. Instead, the latest movie from the JuJutsu Kaisen action franchise acts as a recap of the anime's second season combined with the initial episodes of its upcoming season, which launches the Culling Games arc from the original manga. This makes Execution, which just got a latest teaser, the quickest way to watch the beginning of the upcoming season ahead of its premiere in early 2026. The movie premieres in Japan on Nov. 7, and in North American regions on December 5.

The Culling Games Plot

In the Culling Game arc, Elite sorcerer Yuta Okkotsu makes his entrance into the anime series and is tasked by sorcery authorities to execute his peer Yuji Itadori. Their much-anticipated fight takes place for the initial time on the big screen, and if the artists at the studio have a treat as episodes 40 and 41 prepared for viewers this holiday season, JuJutsu Kaisen: Execution may turn out to be the gift that everyone has hoped for.

"Thunderclap episodes" from the second season is widely regarded as a top-tier scene in the history of anime, despite the significant debate in last year when the episodes first debuted. The sophomore season of JuJutsu Kaisen elevated the franchise to become the award-winning series of 2024, and when the two-part finale were premiered one after another, it was the subject of discussion for weeks in the anime community. Fans knew about the problems with the production, which made them value what they saw even more. People anxiously checked to see if the disc version, released on March 18, would add any additional scenes to the sequence or to see if it was refined somewhat, and were elated to see exactly that, alongside color corrections, smoother movement, and different color grading.
