American actor Finn, who was seen in beloved television series such as Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has passed away at the age of 60.

The skilled improv artist passed away at his residence in Los Angeles recently following treatment for a cancer diagnosis since 2022, as reported by reports.

"Pat saw everyone as a friend - only friends he didn't know yet," his loved ones stated in a message.

They continued that he had "embraced life completely - with zest and passion".

A Prolific TV Career

His initial on-screen part was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he played the titular character's brother.

He was also seen in a recurring role on Murphy Brown from 1995 to 1997.

He played the part of Joe Mayo in Seinfeld in 1998, playing a social organizer who would assign unpleasant chores to his guests.

Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, he appeared as a guest star on numerous well-known programs, such as:

  • The King of Queens
  • "Friends"
  • "That '70s Show"
  • House

He was most recognized for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in The Middle, starring in eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.

His work in movies are It's Complicated (2009) and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).

Off-Screen Life

Beyond his acting parts, Finn was deeply involved in improvisational comedy and worked as a teacher at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.

"Finn taught, supported, and inspired countless students throughout the years and it would be difficult to find anyone anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Paying homage, peer Richard Kind said there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, authentic human being you could encounter".

"Consistently upbeat, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A wonderful father and man," Kind wrote publicly.

The actor is leaves behind his wife Donna, three children, and his parents and siblings.
